The regally bred Irish champion Pathfork, a half-brother to last year’s G1 Preakness Stakes winner War Of Will, has been enjoying a great run of success this season.

At the time of writing, the Sandown Stud based Pathfork has been responsible for 39 individual winners this season thus far, and his progeny have earned in excess of R3.769 million.

The former G1 National Stakes winner ranks above such sires as Ideal World, Vercingetorix and the promising Captain Of All on the SA General Sires List for 2019-2020 by stakes earned.

Pathfork also sports an impressive Average Earnings Per Runner (AEPR) index, with his average standing at R43 333 –higher than all of Gimmethegreenlight, Ideal World,  Master Of My Fate, Querari, and What A Winter.

His principal stars this season include G3 Lebelo Sprint winner Mr Flood (who recently won his fourth race in a row), G3 London News Stakes victress Jet Start, Lady’s Bracelet runner up Madame Speaker, and Model Man Mile hero Fools Gold.

A champion son of Distorted Humor from the family of Redoute’s Choice, El Gran Senor and Northern Guest, Pathfork is currently responsible for 17 stakes horses, with his previous notable performers headed by G1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Mighty High, KZN star Marchingontogether, and graded stakes winners My Friend Lee and Red Chesnut Road.

This bang in-form stallion has four yearlings on next month’s Cape Yearling Sale:

– A colt from the family of international stars Theatrical, Paradise Creek, Eden’s Moon and Bobby’s Kitten

– A filly, inbred to the great mare Fairy Bridge, out of a speedy 4 time winner

– A colt whose granddam is a half-sister to G2 Post Merchants winner Super Home

– A half-brother to Bowie, who recently ran second on debut, and this colt is bred on the same cross as East Cape champion Madame Speaker

– Cape Breeders Club
